I want to take this opportunity to officially welcome new and returning families to Al-Iman School for the 2019-2020 school year. As we begin this school year we are committed to providing a nurturing and challenging environment for our students, and that their well-being and growth be the guiding factor in all our decisions. As educators it is our duty and responsibility to promote an environment in which our students can tap into their potential and be the best version of themselves. We are focused on our students being the best Muslims they can be, and being able to keep their identity at the forefront as they grow up in an ever changing and challenging world. This task, though it may seem daunting, is one that can be achieved through the partnership of home and school. Our dear families remain our strongest support system, asset and partner in this field and we look forward to working with you all in the upcoming school year to ensure the success of our students.
As we have been working throughout the summer we have some updates to share with our families. We would like to welcome Sheikh Mesbah Muhammad to the Al-Iman School team! Sheikh Mesbah is a graduate from Al-Azhar in Egypt as well as a hafidh of Qur’an. This year he will be guiding the revision and implementation to our Qur’an curriculum to clarify benchmarks and objectives for our students, across all grade levels. We have also adopted a new math curriculum, Eureka Math, for our elementary grades. This change was based on teacher feedback to better strengthen our students math skills. We pray Allah helps us as we continue to strive for improvement in all areas of our school.
